ReelGuard Terms of Service
These terms apply when you install or use ReelGuard (“the app”), made by mrprohack (“we”). By using the app you agree to them. If you do not agree, uninstall the app.
1. What the app does
ReelGuard counts short videos you watch in supported apps (Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, Snapchat, Facebook) using the Android Accessibility Service, shows the count, and locks those videos when you reach a limit you set. It is a self-control and digital-wellbeing tool. It is not medical, therapeutic or parental-control software.
2. Permissions you grant
The app only works if you turn on its Accessibility service and allow it to display over other apps. You choose to do this and can turn either off in Android Settings at any time. What the app does with them is described in the Privacy Policy.
3. Using the app
- You may use the app for your own personal, non-commercial use.
- Do not copy, resell, reverse engineer or redistribute it, or use it to interfere with other apps or services, except where the law allows.
- Limits and locks are enforced on a best-effort basis. Android updates or changes inside the supported apps can make counting inaccurate or stop it working, and you can always bypass the app by uninstalling it or turning off its permissions.
4. Free version and ReelGuard Pro
The free version shows one banner ad on the Today screen. ReelGuard Pro is an optional auto-renewing subscription (₹99 per month in India; price varies by country) that removes ads.
- Payment, renewal, cancellation and refunds are handled by Google Play under its terms. We never see your payment details.
- The subscription renews until you cancel in Google Play → Payments & subscriptions. Cancelling keeps Pro active until the end of the period you already paid for.
- Refunds follow Google Play’s refund policy; we cannot issue them ourselves.
- We may change prices; any change is shown by Google Play and applies only after the notice period Google Play requires.
5. Third-party names
ReelGuard is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Instagram, Meta, YouTube, Google, TikTok, Snap or Facebook. Their names and trademarks belong to their owners and are used only to say which apps ReelGuard works with. Use of those apps remains subject to their own terms.
6. No warranty
The app is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. We do not promise it will be uninterrupted, error-free or that it will meet any particular goal for your screen time.
7. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of data or time, arising from your use of the app. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including your statutory consumer rights.
8. Changes and ending
We may update the app or these terms. Material changes are posted on this page with a new date; continuing to use the app afterwards means you accept them. You can stop at any time by uninstalling the app. We may discontinue the app with reasonable notice.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have jurisdiction, without affecting any mandatory consumer rights you have in your own country.
